The best Tennis and Padel glasses

Both tennis and padel are sports in which quick reaction, and thus a short reaction time, is essential. It is therefore important to have a good view of the ball and your opponent so that you can react quickly and get the winning point.

In addition to peripheral vision, good contrast on the court is important. In addition, you want your eyes to be protected from UV rays and any impact from the ball. So a good pair of glasses with the right lens is essential.

Frames

The frame for padel or tennis glasses should, of course, be lightweight. The curved frame should fit snugly on the face and stay firmly in place.

Glasses with a maximum field of vision are very important. This is why we recommend glasses with curved (rounded) lenses. Some sportier models curve nicely around your head and are semi-rimmed, providing good ventilation behind the glasses.

Eyeglass lenses

The glasses are made of polycarbonate. This is an unbreakable material that does not break after a drop of the glasses or on impact with the ball.

In tennis and padel, it is often not necessary to include a reading part in the glasses. This reading part can be a nuisance when switching quickly between watching a high ball and your opponent.

For good UV protection, we recommend self-tinting lenses, which can be used on the indoor court as well as outdoors. For specific outdoor use, a Prizm Field or Prizm Golf from Oakley is also comfortable because of the added contrast.
